We spent a week at the beginning of June in Hernando Beach, Florida, with the Dunn's. It was a new adventure for us traveling to Florida for vacation. We had an amazing house with a great pool and ocean view, but we were a little shocked by the lack of beach! We were able to find a small manmade beach that satisfied our "sand between our toes" itch, though. We also visited a great place called Weeki Wachee. We were able to see mermaids and swim in the freezing cold fresh water spring! The kids LOVED it. We spent plenty of time relaxing by the pool, fishing, kayaking and enjoying each others company. And, being away from home with some of your favorite people equals a great time!
