Winter Wonderland

Our first snow of the season...

Ornament Making

Tumblin' in the Tea Olive

This is what happens when it is completely dark outside and you are trying to run inside from the mailbox and can't see where you are going...

Here Comes Santa....

Remember my last post about the kids being shy? Well, it held true when it came time to see Santa. The kids were P-U-M-P-E-D about seeing Santa....until we actually did see him. Then, it was complete fear. So, after a few unsuccessful attempts at convincing them to do it, we left and came home and told the kids they could write a letter to Santa. So, that's what we did...

The kids were so excited to tell Santa what they wanted. Brad wrote the letters and the kids signed their names.

Then, we took the letters out to the mailbox to mail them to the North Pole.

We were very excited the next morning when the letters were gone! We sure hope Santa thinks we've been good this year! We'll see!

Christmas Program

The children had their Christmas performance at Inman Christian a few weeks ago and it was wonderful! As you know, the kids are very shy until they warm up and especially don't like to be in front of a crowd. Well...they completely showed off and shocked us all!

Each of them had a speaking part in the program and they all did it! YAY! They had the best time on stage and it is evident in their smiles!

In case you can't understand them...
Elizabeth says, "Jesus' birthday is very special."

John Bradley says, "This is the reason we celebrate Christmas."

Mary Frances says, "K3 would like to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year."

I do think this ranks as one of the proudest moments we've had!

BTW, the video is long, but this is the shortened version of it...I cut out the speaking parts and only kept the singing...

Different personalities????

People often ask me if my girls act the same. Well, here's one example of how totally different they are.

Mary Frances and John Bradley were outside finding these...

While Elizabeth was inside ASKING to do this...

Gotta love those sweet children!!

Halloween Hooplah!

We had a great time on Halloween!

Nanny and Poppie came up to enjoy the festivities!

The kids were really starting to get into the whole "trick or treating" idea...

Until the sky decided to fall out and we ended up having to do this...

After a few more houses in the rain, we called it quits and came home to enjoy Nanny's cake and pass out candy to the other neighborhood kids. The trips had a blast doing that!!!

It was a fun night and we look forward to next year...hopefully, a DRY next year!
