Beach Week 2011

We recently got back from a beach week with our sweet friends, the Dunn's. We spent the week in Harbor Island at a great beach house that perfectly accommodated all of our kids. We loved everything about the house from the layout, the decor, the views, etc. However, we have all joked that this house must have been haunted because it was not our lucky week.

A few things happened such as:
*An unclean house when we arrived
*A huge thunderstorm the first night that knocked all the power out until 2 am and kept all the kids awake
*A water spigot hit by a tire that caused water to go everywhere (had to call an emergency plumber)
*A huge thunderstorm decided to show up as we were walking out the door to take family pictures
*A dropped camera that completely broke the lens
*A very expensive 4 hour fishing trip that ended with very few caught fish
*An iphone dropped in the ocean

Although all of this happened, we all laugh about it and think of the "memories" that were made!! We had such a great time playing in the sand, jumping the waves on Hunting Island, riding the golf cart at night, swimming in the pool, fishing in the ocean, eating out and simply enjoying each other's company.

We are already looking forward to next year. But, the question remains....should we choose a new house next year? HA!
