Last night, we celebrated Halloween at church. The church had trunk-or-treating and several games for the babies to play. The babies were a little unsure of what to think at first because they'd never been trunk-or-treating. However, it only took a few minutes for Elizabeth and Mary Frances to warm up to the idea. Once the girls realized that people weren't going to take their candy away from them, they started grabbing it by the handfuls. Elizabeth would actually go back up to people and grab candy from their buckets. It was pretty funny. John Bradley, however, did not enjoy trunk-or-treating until he tasted what was inside his bucket. Once he tasted that first sucker, it was ALL OVER! He was loving life!!! After we went to every car (several more than once!) and our buckets were full, we played a few games to earn a little more candy. The babies enjoyed throwing bean bags in buckets and digging for hidden items. The night was finally winding down, but the babies were loving their candy. We decided to let them have at it until we got home. I honestly think they ate about 4 suckers each! Then, once we got home, we topped off our bathtime with a little more candy (gummy bears and gum drops) and milk. What a great way to celebrate such a fun day! :)
